(www.opentable.com), the leading provider of free, real-time online restaurant reservations for diners as well as reservation and guest management solutions for restaurants, today announced that the company seated more than three million diners via online reservations in the month of May, a new record for the company. This volume represents approximately $150 million in restaurant revenue for restaurants for the month. To date, more than 70 million diners have been seated through OpenTable® online reservations.

“This milestone is testament to the strong appeal of OpenTable’s online reservation system for diners,” said Jeff Jordan, chief executive officer of OpenTable. “They appreciate being able to see the real-time table availability of the leading restaurants in their city, as well as the convenience of booking free, confirmed reservations around the clock.”

In May, the company also launched its OpenTable Diners’ ChoiceTM lists, aimed at helping consumers choose the perfect restaurant for their dining occasion. These lists, which are generated from the feedback of more than 200,000 diners each month who have honored their OpenTable reservations, range from classic “best of” categories like best food, service and atmosphere to colorful categories like “fit for foodies,” “most romantic,” and “neighborhood gems.” Local lists are available for most major metropolitan areas across the United States and Canada.
